Final Project Proposal (Donka N)

The word slut is used to control women and shame them for violating the double standards imposed on them. For my final project, I will write a paper exploring the use of the word “slut” by analyzing several personal experiences from women. Through this analysis, I want to show how powerful the word is and the damage it can do to a woman. In my paper, I will also examine how media contributes to an environment that supports slut shaming. Furthermore, I will analyze the impact of slut shaming on women’s rights.
